2014 F1 Schedule Released: Includes NJ, USA!

saub_koba_sing_20111New Jersey is tentatively set to host a Grand Prix next season after the street circuit was included on the provisional 2014 calendar. On Friday, the World Motor Sport Council confirmed the 2014 schedule which consists of a massive 22-grands prix. Not only will there be first time races for New Jersey (a second Grand Prix in the USA for 2014) and Russia, the sites in Mexico and Austria will be returning to the schedule as well.

New Jersey along with Mexico and Korea are only provisional subject to circuit gaining FIA safety approval.  New Jersey promoter Leo Hindery Jr is ecstatic!

 “The entire Grand Prix of America team is thrilled to join the 2014 FIA calendar and we look forward to bringing world-class Formula One racing to New Jersey,”

…he said. New Jersey also finds itself in the middle of a triple-header which will see Formula One stop off in Monaco before heading to America and then onto Canada in the space of three grueling weeks.
